Psalm 146

Hallelujah! O my soul, praise God!
All my life long I'll praise God,
singing songs to my God as long as I live.
Don't put your life in the hands of experts
who know nothing of life, of salvation life.
Mere humans don't have what it takes;
when they die, their projects die with them.
Instead, get help from the God of Jacob,
put your hope in God and know real blessing!
God made sky and soil,
sea and all the fish in it.
He always does what he says—
he defends the wronged,
he feeds the hungry.
God frees prisoners—
he gives sight to the blind,
he lifts up the fallen.
God loves good people, protects strangers,
takes the side of orphans and widows,
but makes short work of the wicked.
God's in charge—always.
Zion's God is God for good!
Hallelujah!

I'm so excited! I get license on July 19th! And the insurance isn't too much that I can't pay for it myself!!! Only $168.20 a month! :) I'm so happy I can't describe it! :)

Where did you get that version of the psalm?

Thanks so much for your comment. I wasn't trying to be pitiful — I really was wondering if people found my posts simply boring. Thanks for the reassurance!

Thank you guys! I know that's not especially easy for you guys to say! But I luv you for it! :)

yes, Ben, but at least you had a chance to get your license... no matter how short a period of time it was for. ;-)

Ellie, I feel like I haven't talked to you (or ANYONE on that side of the world for that matter!) in like a year! That will be like the only reason for happiness when the missions team leaves on Monday (I can prolly use our internet phone once again!)

Question: Should I go against everything good and pure I believe in and get a MYSPACE!?!? Bethany has sorta kinda in a way not really almost convinced me to get one.... ahhh I can't decide! I am already "juggling" my xanga and blog. :-/

ahhh!!!! I am just pretty much going crazy today. This is turning into an email, so I better go. I LOVE YOU!!!

Ellie! I am so excited for you for getting your license!!!! I'll be your over-18 front-seat person if you need one :-).
Charity, no to the MySpace. I have heard way too many freaky things about it. Wait til you're in college and get Facebook. My 2 cents :-)

Is The Message Bible billed as just a paraphrase? It's obviously not an actual translation.

Nathaniel - at least it oughta be! I don't like it, in the least. There really is no need to paraphrase the Bible.
