Chemistry

I am not doing any science this year, but next year I have to take chemistry. My mom is still trying to decide where I will take the class since she doesn't want to teach it to me at home. It's possible I could take it at Castleton Christian Church with a group called Northpoint, or take it at College Park Church with Wisdom Builders. I'm not exactly looking forward to it, because Ruth and Grace say its hard. We all did Biology with Alania last year, it was an awesome class because we were together. What's your experience with Chemistry?

Wednesdays are usually lowkey at my house because nobody has any classes. Some weeks we go ice-skating, which is hopefully what we'll do today. Usually I go to Butler and do a book study on "No Little People" by Schaeffer with Shannon Koons, but she's sick, so we had to cancel. :-( But here's a quote from Schaeffer:

Quote of the post:
"Quietness and peace before God are more important than any influence a position may seem to give, for we must stay in step with God to have the power of the Holy Spirit." - Francis Schaeffer

Of the three sciences I have taken in the past four years, chemistry is definately my favorite. Chemistry is challenging. But for me, it wasn't that hard! I had to work at it but I nearly recieved the award for the top student in the class. What brought me down was a super hard final, but my grade was so close to 100% that even though I failed the test on the curve I still pulled through with a 96%. Don't let it bog you down, and you'll be fine!

I agree with the above two peoples. You gotta do it, so dont get all worried! I think you'll do just grandly. I would take it with you, but sadly, I'm not going to take it at all. I'll pray that God gives you the understanding for the class! love you!!

Hey sara, I just looked at your profile and saw what books you had on there. I love Stargirl! It was very cute and inspiring....to be unique. Well, yeah...that's all.

That's an unusual thing from Mary :-)
Sorry that I can't give you any help with the chemistry. I've only taken three courses involving chemistry. Two were here at home with my mother. The third is a class I have right now at Geneva, and (aside from the question of your being rather far from Beaver Falls) you're past the registration deadline :-)

As a Chem. II guy (last year of science! woot!), chemistry is much better than biology. I "get it" when it's visual learning or math. When it gets to be conceptual stuff, I, uh, don't get it. Luckily math/visual stuff makes good test questions...

It sounds like everyone thinks that chemistry is better then biology, and you got through biology, so you can get through chemistry. That makes me really happy, because I really had trouble with biology. I have only done a half a year as of now, so I still have to finish that, then do chemistry. Charity and I might take it together, and that would be nice. We are proably just going to take it at home.

Chemistry was fun, but physics, I think, is more pratical and is more fun. Really, you get to do a lot of fun things like dropping ice on people, SARA! Or shocking your teacher and classmates. :)

You should really try to get one new person to comment on this post! If you do, you'll pick up an extra 15 points, and soar into 2nd place.
